Halloween Happiness by Nate Ashley

Notice happiness cards are 3.5" X 2" mini pieces of art with space on the backside to write a little observation of something going right in the world. 
 
These cards are designs by Nate Ashley, a musician and designer who is a friend. These are already beloved by my students and the people I'm giving them to this fall (I'm writing this in September 2026). My students are working hard to collect the set.
 
I started making them for several reasons:
to share art
as a balm for the negativity in the world these days
to pay better attention to all of the great things my students do in their lessons
 
When I'm using them with my students, I write things like:
I noticed you played that zombie piece really quietly and it sounded very spooky.
You played your minor 5 note scales in all 12 keys. I especially liked that you added staccato notes.
