Cats and Fishes by Jeremy Carrillo

Notice happiness cards are 3.5" X 2" mini pieces of art with space on the backside to write a little observation of something going right in the world. 
 
Jeremy Carrillo is a trombonist by profession, which is how I knew him first. He's also a talented artist. This series of cats and fishes was so charming, that it needed to be made into a set of happiness cards. There are 5 cats and 20 fishes in the 3 pictures (one cat and one fish are combined into a catfish!) 
 
I started making them for several reasons:
to share my mom's art (and other art I like)
as a balm for the negativity in the world these days
to pay better attention to all of the great things my students do in their lessons
 
The whimsy of the work brings a smile to everyone who gets a card.
