First Lessons with Key Finders

Many of you who have some of the key finder cards are at a loss on how to use them effectively with students.

I'm creating a video lesson series of what I do with all of my new students.

Here's the introduction:

Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be recording 7-9 lesson videos to go demonstrate how the cards are used to build a solid foundation of being able to play in all 12 keys from the very first lesson.

Here are the materials I refer to in the video:

Many of my students these days are adults who already play pieces on the piano, but want to get off of the page and do more creative work and improvisation.

This is also the foundations of collaborative music making. So I use a lot of the same materials and method when working in mixed groups of instruments.

I look forward to you joining me on this journey!
